Once Upon a Time in the Middle East is a 2026 Chinese comedy-drama war film directed by Muye Wen. Xu Fu travels to the Middle East to work as a chef in a Chinese restaurant and help pay his family's debts. There, he meets manager Ma Junsheng, and together they help the Dragon Restaurant become popular. When war breaks out and conditions deteriorate, the restaurant and everyone connected to it are forced to face an uncertain future.
