Set in the glamorous yet chaotic era of 1927 Old Hollywood, Minions & Monsters serves as the hilarious third installment in the beloved prequel franchise. The story tracks a unique group of Minions—led by the imaginative James, the laugh-loving Henry, and the hearing-impaired Ed—who briefly taste stardom as silent film icons. However, the sudden arrival of "talkies" completely ruins their career since nobody can understand their native Minionese language. Destitute but determined to reinvent themselves, the trio decides to produce their very own indie monster movie. Using an ancient spellbook stolen from a past evil sorcerer boss, they successfully summon a cute creature. But the casting call goes horribly wrong when they inadvertently open a cosmic rift, unleashing a massive, multi-eyed planet destroyer and a horde of chaotic beasts onto Earth.
